One exercise I remember Kyle's OT mentioning was picking M&Ms out of an egg carton. This works on the pincher grasp and I would think it would help strengthen his pointer finger. The M&Ms are for motivation.

Tissue paper schrunching is a really low tech exercise. Have the child crumple up p bits of soft paper and then throw them round the room. Then they have to chase them by walking or crawling and pick them up with their toes. This helps with hands and feet!

Practice Visual Tracking With A Bubble Blower!

Try using the bubble blower in a windless environment to provide slow moving bubbles when the child is just beginning to visually track. Later, to make a greater challenge, take it outside on a windy day or run a fan in the room with the blower. Visual tracking is an important precursor skill for reading!
